‘Strange guttural noises’ coming from Korina’s house

Alarmed neighbors reported hearing “strange guttural noises” coming from the house of broadcaster Korina Sanchez in Makati City since Tuesday evening.

They said the noises were loud and scary as though coming from a “large animal or monster.”

“It’s like a growl but deeper and stronger,” one neighbor said, shivering. “There’s something really sinister about it.”

“She (Sanchez) hasn’t come out of the house for three days now,” the neighbor told Good Times Manila.

Neighbors said they last saw Sanchez and her fiancé Sen. Mar Roxas enter the house late Tuesday night, the same night Roxas announced that he was withdrawing from the presidential race to give way to Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, son of the late President Cory Aquino and martyred Ninoy Aquino and brother of TV host-actress Kris Aquino.

“It seemed like the two of them were having a major fight,” the neighbor said.

Another neighbor recalled seeing Roxas leave the house at 3:00 the next morning. “He was a mess. He was bleeding all over, and his shirt was in tatters. When I offered to take him to Makati Med, he said no. He said he just ‘fell down the stairs.’”

Roxas’s wedding with Sanchez is scheduled on Oct. 23.

The neighbors said they heard the noise every three to four hours, and that it became especially louder “whenever Sen. Noynoy was on TV.”

On Thursday morning, police officers responding to the neighbors’ complaint knocked on Sanchez’s door, but nobody answered. They knocked again: “Tao po? Tao po? (Is anyone there)?”

Suddenly, they heard a noise: “Fooooorrrrsss laaaaaaaaydeeee… Fooorrrssss laaaaaayyydeee… Fooorrrssss laaaaaayyydeee…” followed by loud footsteps.

Looking terrified, the policemen told the neighbors: “A, may tao naman pala (Looks like somebody’s there),” and took off running.

I’m a big fan of GTM but I find this post of very bad taste. I’m quite disappointed that you made fun of grand gestures of other people who actually wanted change for this country.

  like what xy so and lars are saying, there are no sacred cows here.
  
  i don’t make fun of politicians and celebrities because i think they’re bad people (although i’m sure some of my subjects are REALLY bad people).
  
  if i did that, GTM would just be about all the people i hate, and that would be boring and in bad taste.
  
  believe me when i say that i don’t hate mar or noynoy or korina. when i talk about public figures here, it’s not because i’m advancing some personal agenda. it simply means i found something funny about them that i wanted to share.
  
  is charice a bad person? i don’t think so. i think she’s supremely talented. is jessica soho a talentless hack? certainly not. she’s an excellent journalist. is GMA a bad president? i think so, yes. is jamby madrigal an annoying person? definitely.
  
  yet i talk about these people in equal measure. that’s what GTM is. if i refrain from writing about someone because he’s a good person who can change the country, then GTM will stop being GTM.

    Yeah, I always found out GTM’s humour to be nice and light (in a good way). It’s usually up to us commenters to make those mean spirited/bad taste jokes regarding the public figures we love and hate.
    
    As much as i’d like to see GTM articles like “GMA stars in a snuff flick”, or “Jolina still popular with the Male (35-44) demographic”, I feel that such it wouldn’t really fit the spirit of the site.

    i agree to deej’s sona… despite the political problems that we are currently facing right now, sometimes we have to look on the brighter side of life. we might as well make jokes or make fun on our problems to lighten up ourselves. by this way, we can easily find solutions to solve our problems. Being serious at things is a good thing but sometimes it’s not. we still need to have fun. there’s nothing wrong in having fun.. although this includes having fun with other people, as long as you don’t hurt them emotionally or physically, it only depends on how we interpret things in life whether we take it seriously or not…
    
    i salute deeJ for having the strength to write this stuffs… i thank deeJ for writing some things quite unusual and extraordinary about public figures and some celebrities…
